Romney is in a short window to seal his inevitability. He has the organization and the money but unfortunately he does not have the ability to be someone else, and he is above all else The King RINO. The base may accept him in the end, but it will be kicking and screaming, and the teacons will bring him onto unfamiliar ground at some point and he will be vulnerable then.

And where is Perry's offensive? His boomlet over, Palin out of the race, his time to make his case has about five days. The Establishment lost out on Christie this week, but won out on Palin's non-entrance, and has weakened Perry to the joy of Herman Cain. If Perry can reintroduce and actually appear somewhat competent he might be able to mount some sort of comeback, but he hasn't much time. Mitt will be working furiously to seal off his lead.
