If Mr Romney sweeps the early states, the most ridiculously enjoyable primary season in recent memory will turn dreadfully dull.  

Paul surged in Iowa on the backs of disaffected voters fleeing the wreckage of Perry, Bachmann, Cain, et al, and those that were never going to vote for Romney under any circumstances. But, his time has come and passed. The surge is off, with Paul's support tempering in the face of actual examination of his insane policy positions, and it looks like Romney will cruise to victory in Iowa. I don't think he will hit a bump until South Carolina and even then I think it will be a minor bump.
