Of all the stupid mistake Bush made in his time as president, the stupidest was his thinking that the War on Terror could be won by invading countries. This new philosophy, the light special forces model coupled with international legal pursuit, is what the war should have always been: light, targeted, short instead of prolonged. Quick and deadly strikes instead of clumsy and heavy-handed attempts at remaking middle eastern political cultures.
