An open letter to Republican leaders - Jennifer Rubin

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/post/an-open-letter-to-republican-leaders/2012/01/21/gIQA9abjGQ_blog.html

In her love letter to the guys who didn't run, Rubin fails to realize that all of these guys she is naming off are deeply flawed...probably more deeply flawed than Romney.

Haley Barbour - Boss Hog versus Obama. Good luck.
Mitch Daniels - Wife weirded out, left him and her daughters, reconsidered, came back, remarried the governor. There is probably a lot more that we don't know that would make poor Mitch and his wife even more unpalatable. Sorry, the wife is part of the equation.
John Kasich - Who the hell is that?
Bobby Jindal - Yeah, the answer to the jingoism and nativism in the tea party is a nerdy, dark-skinned Indian guy. That will fire them up.
Marco Rubio - The son of hispanic immigrants, a big proponent of "amnesty", and just generally not a white guy. Not even a good shot in 2016.
Jim DeMint - The second biggest asshole in Congress and a dimwhitted tea con. That will fly in the midwest. Also, isn't the South Carolina primary already over.
Paul Ryan - Young and good looking, also preaches the death of Medicare. What and why?
Eric Cantor - See Jim DeMint, except Cantor is the biggest asshole in Congress.
Mike Pence - Would make Rick Perry look smart and no one knows who the hell he is either.

So basically, there is no one else. Sorry, Republicans. Trying to ride the tea party to stem Obama worked really well, until you needed a candidate to fill in all the boxes of the check list you wrote. And in my opinion, this is what you get for buying into and protecting Sarah Palin. Enjoy.
