We're a long way from the bombings of the 60s and 70s. But this is a Socialist government, meaning that to meet the demands of the protesters and rioters, a new option even farther to the left could emerge in Greek politics. This was never a stable country to begin with, and radicalism begets radicalism, meaning that Communist parties tend to spawn Nationalist parties. I am hoping that Greece's retreat from the eurozone and a return to its own worthless currency is where the chaos ends.
