Palin meets with Fox News officials - Peter Hamby

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/01/palin-meets-with-fox-news-officials/

Beware boys...there may come a time when she doesn't think she needs you. If Palin represents the populist wing of the GOP, and Fox represents the corporate marketing arm of the GOP, you would think Fox would want to kill her momentum as quickly and quietly as possible. The thing keeping them from doing so is that she brings in (respectable, but not great) ratings, and there is also the chance to at least try and control her. But I submit that if she weren't thinking about running, she is now becoming enthralled with the idea, and probably won't be able to resist. The wording of the Fox statements on her is changing too, from "there is no change in her status" to "right now there is no change in her status", a small distinction but an indicator that Fox is beginning to figure things out for themselves. I would doubt that she has any intent on being honest with Fox about her intentions, not after Roger Ailes called her an idiot, and she can make money other ways.
No, this will eventually end when Roger Ailes thinks it incumbent upon him to end the Palin candidacy, even if that's before she has officially declared. Then and only then will she be "suspended" from Fox, and here's one guy hoping that that's what causes her to run, motivated even more on acrimony and revenge.
