I just don't see how, in the long run, the regime can keep the free flow of information from its citizens, which is one of the pillars of an autocratic society. The irony is that I think their greatest danger comes from poor and dangerous working conditions and income inequality, leading to rampant health problems and poor life outlook for the working destitute. As we all know, that tends to lead to communist overthrow of the system.

In seriousness, the outsized number of males that will come of age in the next ten years, with no prospects of marriage and accustomed to free exchange of information, will mean danger to the regime. How do you start a war that can kill off a large enough chunk of that population?
