Joking aside, Red Sox consider C.J. Wilson - Scott Lauber

Cherington also conceded the trade market may produce better options than free agency. To wit: White Sox general manager Ken Williams said this week that he’s “not ruling out” trading starters John Danks and Gavin Floyd. The offense-needy Athletics may make lefty Gio Gonzalez available in the right deal.
“A lot of names have come up,” Cherington said of trade talks.

The White Sox are rebuilding and might be interested in selling off either Danks or Floyd, both functional major league level pirchers, for prospects. It just depends on how much they want. TheWhite Sox emptied out their farm a couple of years ago in a trade for Jake Peavy and have yet to see anything come of that, so this move would probably require some top flight talent, maybe Reddick or Kalish even.

I think there will be a trade for one #3 level starter and then probably a low risk signing, someone like Bruce Chen or Freddy Garcia, plus the re-upping of Tim Wakefield, just in case.
